Text: Sing for the Climate
Sing for the Climate is the third step of the Big Ask concept in Belgium. The first ‘Big Ask’ in 2008 was a video mobilizing 6.000 people. In the second clip 12.000 people simultaneously performed a choreography on the music of U2. In the third phase, the organizers wanted to mobilize 24.000 for a singing manifestation. This time not just on one location, but in many places in the whole country. The campaign was an immense success with more than 80.0000 participants in 180 locations. A month later, 725 schools repeated Sing for the Climate with 300.000 students on the national sing@school day. Now is the time to give the same signal internationally. Therefore we appeal to local groups and organizations worldwide to organize their own version of Sing for the Climate.
