It’s all about sharing!
We are a group of friends that have just graduated from university. We are linked by the common idea, which is to increase awareness about real life problems in developing countries and actively look for solutions to solve them. In order to achieve this goal, we created an NGO called Share A Dream.
Share A Dream aims at increasing communication of local NGOs all around the world to make them accessible to the people that want to help and increase social awareness. We produce high quality videos and a profile of the NGO on our interactive platform (http://www.share-a-dream.org) to show the world their needs in terms of experts, volunteers and donations.
We are a young NGO and our first team is right now on its first field mission in South America. They have already covered 2 projects in Argentina (available here: https://www.share-a-dream.org/project/) and are now in Chile working with the 2 next NGOs covered, before going to Bolivia and Peru. Another team is working from Switzerland (Lausanne), where the NGO is based, in order to find new sponsors, partners and support the field team in their communication and mission.
Precisely, we will help the NGO by:
1. Raising social awareness about their cause.
2. Finding people with a specific expertise that can help them from home.
3. Finding volunteers working or studying in a specific field that will come to the NGO for a specific period of time and help them.
4. Finding donations or sponsors for a specific project of the NGO.
They will have full access to the footage produced (photos, videos & interviews) and the right to use it as they wish. On our side, we will use it to communicate their specific demands and needs to as much people as possible through our website & social media.
Anybody can thus easily navigate on our platform and discover projects from all around the world in an intimate manner. If moved by the people, he can then directly take action and have a considerable impact on their lives by helping from home as a donor or expert or even by contributing in the field as a volunteer. There are so many ways in which each one of you can have a positive impact, so be creative and put your skills to good use!
