When we produced Innocence, we were imagining ourselves flying above a village in Asia where everything lived in harmony, thinking about the essence of innocence either in human beings, animal and nature. It is mind-blowing to see that THE OFFSTREAM had a similar vision putting together the powerful footages of Gregory Colbert. The music takes all its meaning and emotions from the video, which in turn, takes all its art from the music. Special thanks to Lauren Ndl for the amazing work.

…A few weeks back our friend Marie Le Chevallier chose our track “Innocence” with its music video by MAFF.tv and the footage of Gregory Colbert to open The Animal Alliance Channel – TAAC conference in Paris. And last week we were shocked by the latest WWF analysis regarding the mass animal extinction happening as we speak…
We take this issue very seriously, and need to speak up… This music and video is one way, but we are taking other ways to tackle this issue knowing there are still so much we could do… We reduced our meat and dairy consumption to only 2 times a weeks. We stopped buying product from multinational contributing to mass deforestation. We recycle. We reduced our plastic use. We donate when we can, and most importantly we speak up.
The grand evolution of Sapiens and the creation of society as we know have guided us towards astonishing advances but we have to face the fact that it has led to the domestication and alienation of certain animal species (especially the agri-food and dairy industries). As well as the extinction of many species, and it is mainly due to our human egoism… So there is a real gap between success in the face of human evolution and individual animal suffering, which, let’s remember, are living beings in a complex world of sensations and emotions, just like us. On this subject, we are no longer innocent at all, because we are contributing to an animal genocide…
We are all born innocent though, then society influences us to harmfulness. Looking at the utopia of innocence, this music and visual project is a reflection of the very essence of innocence. Reality is that animals reveal a friendly, empathic and a peaceful proximity with human beings, which is transcribed artistically in this video. A mutual and innocent respect should come out of an animal-human relationship.
Let’s all come back to this initial innocence towards nature.
With love,
