What exactly is a cultural oasis?
Uwe Burka and his team have dealt extensively with this question and have come to a very comprehensible and clear conclusion. In the following, they have compiled a list that gives us a framework within which we can operate and which aspects we should pay special attention to when we want to build a new “cultural oases”. In this way, we can ensure that our project is successful from the start and that we don’t drift back into an unbalanced world that can’t actually work from the start.

More and more initiatives use the name “cultural oases”. This name seems to be coming into fashion. What constitutes a “cultural oases”?
In the following, we outline the core areas of “cultural oases” along with our approaches to solving them. They mean a constant tightrope walk between two extremes. On the one hand the “illusions” and on the other hand the “hardening” in materialism. If we succeed in maintaining the middle, viable solutions for the complex social issues open up.
