To all friends of this network, I want to say it is a great pleasure to be a part of this group and to see the concern of each person for what has been happening in Brazil and in the world, with all the environmental impact caused by the destruction of the forest and by the contamination of the waters. What is manifesting in the world today about these destructions is catching the attention of each person that eats and drinks and breathes and lives on top of this Earth. I believe it is time for each person to do a personal reflection on how we can imagine the future of the coming generations if we leave the earth contaminated for them to live. I believe the call for change that is happening in the world is very important for our personal reflection so that we begin taking the responsibility for the destruction and contamination that are happening on Planet Earth.
Each person that today lives here, on top of the Earth, must look after the waters, must be careful with the rubbish he/she produces, must be concerned about industrial emissions, about the ones who throws pesticides on Earth, about the ones who consume contaminated food and who eat meat with hormones, about the people who are polluting the rivers… All of what is contaminating the Earth must the a concern for Humanity, as we are under the risk of a great catastrophe that will lead to our own destruction.
Here, we are doing our part. I am here building Yorenka Tasorentsi Centre (Wisdom of the Creator), after building Yorenka Ãtame Centre (Wisdom of the Forest). We are planting and reforesting, we are sharing with other peoples and communities a vision about all the problems that are happening due to the burning and destruction of the forest and contamination of our rivers. We are calling youth to be part of this movement, as well as businessmen and industrialists, and consumers, and each person that today lives and depends on the food we produce and that feeds our country and the world.
I see also another important thing that we are working here in Yorenka Tasorentsi: we are building this centre with strength and every young person who is here every day, every hour, is working also with his/her spirit and conscience, looking at what is happening on Earth so that we can create a space where we will catch the world’s attention. We want to plant here at least 10 million trees, we will recover the river shores and restore the spaces, and create a different way of creating sustainability, by reforesting with fruit trees, building fish ponds, working with native fauna and with domestic animals in a different way. We have everything to change a system that was created by Men for economic development, social development and to feed people. I think we must think about it. We must know how our government today is dealing with the problems affecting indigenous peoples, who are the biggest protectors and guardians of the millenarian knowledge that tells that if the Earth has no forest, we will live a great drought that may kill Humanity with heat, with fire. This is not new. We have been saying this for a long time. That is why I ask every person that this movement not be mine, but be of every Brazilian, of every nation on Earth, as the one to suffer from this destruction will not only be Benki, not only my children, but Humanity. We must bring this reflection within us: how can we plant the Earth? Now we know that global warming is because we are lacking trees on top of the Earth. All the pastures, burnings, are exterminating everything, and the oxygen is finishing. The forest has the biggest potential to provide oxygen for us, and does it naturally, and we must bring this to our conscience. I want to count on everyone’s support: please do not be a human being only, but be also earth, be forest, be animal, be water, because from them we survive. A big hug to everyone. We will be together in this struggle. Yorenka Tasorentsi will be a voice of transmission and transition of thought. We will be here working to re-educate the society of Planet Earth, to re-educate human beings on Earth. This is what we are working on.
