More than 41 million people watched this video of the Swedish band Wintergatan. It is the official video of the Marble Machine, a unique completely hand-build musical instrument with 2000 marbles and all together 3000 parts. Martin, Marcus, David & Evelina are the group members that are fascinated not only by this machine but also with a special music style that includes a lot of melodies, many self-made or adapted instruments … and an old portable typewriter which is used to give a rhythm in some songs. Now Martin is working on a new portable version of the Marble Machine, the model X, that is sized to be taken on tour as part of their equipment. This year’s tour will start on May 12, 2017 at the festival “Nordischer Klang” in the German village Greifswald, followed by a performance at the “Fusion Festival” in the German village Lärz on July 3, 2017. Then there is a tour through Sweden until November 2017.
