Breast cancer is one of the world‘s most widespread forms of cancer. One out of nine women are confronted with breast cancer in the course of their lives. In Switzerland, an average of 5,700 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, with an annual average of 1,400 fatalities. «The Pink Ribbon» today is the worldwide known symbol for the fight against breast cancer.
Since 2007, Pink Ribbon Switzerland has been carrying out various activities to help combat breast cancer. The biggest event in Switzerland is the annual Pink Ribbon Charity Walk which will take place in Zurich on September, 4th, 2016 and 5000 participants are expected.
