After 3 years of production the new movie from the makers of the critically acclaimed surf documentary The Old, the Young & the Sea moves close to its world premiere.
Beyond – An African Surf Documentary explores the unique board-riding cultures found in Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Gambia and Senegal. Dropping into some of the more isolated coastlines in the world, we spent three months on the road filming, photographing and interviewing a host of fascinating characters. They have all found ways to adapt to the harshness of their respective environs while still carving out surfing and other adventurous lifestyles in their home countries.
