Hello,
My name is Nicolas Vaudroz, I am an artist in residence on planet earth.
I would like to share with you a project that emerged in my little town of Leysin in Switzerland. For this coming August I was asked to propose a piece for a wall.
I picked up A pine cone that had caught my attention, and as I looked at it, I all of a sudden see one of its faces. I had this strange and deep feeling of being observed. And we are, being observed, by the mystery of all things, at all time. Through all that lives, small and big, without any judgement, with the love of a parent for its children. So I gave that small cone a voice, speaking in the name of nature to the humans. And it became big, so it’s voice could be heard better.
The idea was to put that cone and its message on a 8meters high banner, and other smaller ones with different messages all over the town. Then came the idea to have it unrolled at the same time in other cities of Switzerland as Mother Earth is speaking universally at all time in all places. I got the sensation then, that it had to be done all around this magnificent planet, as humans together, choosing to give Earth’s Delegate, a voice.
We have a small budget and are looking for humans that are interested in contributing in this planetary action. Wether financially, by printing a version in their country, lending a wall for the message to be spread, or simply forward the concept to potentially interested people.
